Corporate magician & entertainer Ian Ball doesn't really have six hands, although at times you might just think he has!

His first paid performance was at the tender age of 14, not as a magician but a musician. That's right he's an accomplished guitarist and harmonica player and spent his early years playing in various bands, entertaining at functions and events. He still plays occasionally in a blues band, when he's not performing as a magician. In fact if you ask him nicely he'll incorporate his musical talents into his magic performance.

Discovering magic took a little longer. Although he grew up with the likes of Tommy Cooper, David Nixon, Paul Daniels and David Berglas on the TV, it was a chance meeting with a magician at a trade show a few years later that ignited the spark that moved him away from music and towards magic.

His technical background is based in the electronics industry, running and managing a UKAS accredited EMC test laboratory. Spending many hours on trade show stands promoting test services and, now, wishing he'd had a magician there to attract potential clients.
